Ohio Mission Region Pulpit Supply and Interim Compensation Guidelines

(recommended 01/09/2026)
  • The compensation is the same for either clergy or lay and will include both preaching and leading the liturgy.
  • Other negotiated expenses need to be discussed for those who have to spend a night in a hotel or have special situations.

Interim Service:

  • On Call Interim -- Suggested $500/month plus Mileage
  • Part-time Interim (suggested only... must be negotiated based on congregation needs)
    • One-Two Services Weekly: $220/day plus Mileage
    • Three Plus Services Weekly: $225/day plus Mileage

Pulpit Supply Worship:

  • One Service: $200 plus Mileage
    • $50 for each additional service, Bible study, hospital visit, etc.

Note: Mileage is the current IRS Mileage Rate
